Been awhile

Well it has been a really long time since I posted anything on here. I know I have tried to make the commitment before, but it just seems like I have so many other things that require my attention. Since my last post I have changed jobs, done a lot of work on my house, and just well I don't know what else. Anyway I figured it was time to make a post. This past weekend was the Superbowl so I decided to throw a small party even though I could really have cared less which team won. Mike N. and Jaime B. were the first to arrive although I was still shopping for food. They decided they were going to play some guitar hero while my friend Erin and I got to cooking. I couldn't believe the variety of food we had. Main course was basically wings (burn your ass tomorrow , mild, and garlic) and beer of course. We also had some pizza that Erin made, dessert from her mom, dessert from my mom, among many other things. Enough with the food and back to the game or more importantly the commercials. I was kinda disappointed in the commercials this year although some I thought to be extremely funny. I love the blockbuster commercial with the animals trying to get online and I always enjoy all the Bud Light commercials, although I would have to say my favorite of them was the Class Mencia. I won't even describe it if you haven't seen it you can check it out yourself. I also enjoyed the Comb-over Beard from Sierra Mist. As for the halftime show, I think it absolutely sucked. They need to get a good rock band on their that people actually want to hear. The night overall was fun, it is always nice to hang out with friends and just relax. Hopefully next year a team that I want in the Superbowl will actually make it (which also is probably when I will make my next post if I am lucky).

Fun Times

Well last night was James-a-palooza (sorry if I am not spelling by the correct standards Jamie). This was the second time I have experienced this party that Jamie attempts to throw each year, and this one definately didn't dissapoint. It started out with just about everyone hanging out in the Barley basement either drinking, playing the arcade, or just talking this continued for a little while until everyone decided to head outside. Some of the people in attendance decided that they were going to go swimming, even though they didn't have anything to swim in, other people just watched and laughed as this went on. Not too long after this someone decides to bring out the yard of beer and since nobody else would do it, I gave in and drank it. To my knowledge Jim and I are the only one's to drink the full yard of beer out of it, so its quite the accomplishment (no I don't have very high standards for accomplishment lol). There were a lot of other things going on last night including a certain drunk person yelling "Where the f*** are my shoes?" Needless to say I had nothing to do with the shoes disappearing. Either way it was a very fun night and I think everyone there had and enjoyable time and most will probably be back next year.

Boring Day

Well today was another uneventful day. There wasn't all that much to do at work, but I did manage to get the things accomplished I was supposed to. The only reason I am really making this post is because a coworker (Let's call her Gindsay Larman) insisted that I make another post. I can't really think of too much to write about tonight, other than the fact that I just got done watching Big Brother: All Stars (Actually I am addicted to it). I can't believe how dumb some of the people are on there (and if you watch this show you would probably agree). Me personally I wanted James to win, but he was kicked off last week. Now this week it looks as if Danielle is going home. Some people on that show will believe anything people tell them. As much as I hate to admit it, I think that Dr. Will is the best player and deserves to win. The person I hate the most on the show is Janelle. If you like this show and have your own opinion let me know. It could make for a good argument. Well I am going to wrap this up because so little time and plenty to do. Plus Season Finale of Rescue Me is on tonight.

Fantasy Football

Well since just about all of my friend's have started a blog in one form or another, I guess I'll give it a try. How many of you out there play fantasy football? Well I play, not to say I am very good at it, but it gives me a reason to watch some games I wouldn't otherwise. This also give you the opportunity to talk some Monday (or Tuesday) morning smack on your coworker who you just gave a beating too the day before. Anyway, last night was our draft, and it was interesting to say the least. It all started out fine, but then a friend (let's call him TylenHall) pointed out to me some of the interesting picks you could make if you wished. People like Jerome Bettis (correct me if I am wrong but didn't he die, oh wait he is on NBC Sunday night with Madden, which by the end of the night he may wish he was dead), Maurice Clarrett (I think that guy is in jail, maybe it is part of his work release), and probably the most interesting of all was Ricky Williams (yes the one who has been suspended yet again from NFL play). The most interesting part was my brother-in-law deciding to pick Ricky for his team. We didn't know Canadian football counted towards our league, but I guess he knew something we didn't. After I pointed it out to him he insisted that he didn't do it on purpose, but I think he may have been boozing it up a little before the draft, causing his judgement to be impaired. At least we all got a good laugh out of it. Overall the draft went pretty well and not too much smack was talked, but we will let that for when the season starts. Sept 7, the Dolphins take on the Steelers to open the season, Go Teal and Orange. I know it sounds kind bad and wimpy, but I can't be a bandwagon jumper, I've always liked the Steelers, but the Dolphins come first for me and I'm not afraid to show it.
